life update

So I haven't posted anything on here in a really long time. So much has happend that I wouldn't even be able to type it all out. I am teaching in the valley and hating every minute of it. I do have some good kids and they keep me sane. 5 more days of this hell. I can't imagine WHY ppl would want to become HS teachers in these type of schools. Sad. Our future of tomorrow is full of piece of shit kids.

I was accepted into medical school!!!!! My lifetime dream! Due to personal reasons I have deferred my acceptance until next year. My grandmother has been sick and I feel I need to be here with her. Her chronic illnesses have just started to catch up on us. She has had hyptertension for years and she was diagnosed with diabetes only 2-3 years ago. Appaarently, after further labs they determined she has probably had diabetes for over 20 years. The diabaetes has damanged her kidneys to the point where she might need to start dialysis. She already said she does not want to be put on dialysis. Due to the kidney complications they also found fluid in her lungs (CHF) and the kidney complications also cause elevated bp. So it's all linked in one way or another. She was first hospitalized in mid-april bc her bp was extremely HIGH. She was hospitalized mid-april bc she suffered a mini-stroke, which they call a TIA. It was nothing severe or permanent so we are thankful for that. It was caused by a tiny blood clot in her brain. They said it was clotted with cholesterol. We are pretty strict on her diet, but in older patients having high cholesterol is fairly common.

Other than gma's health conditions, everything else has been good. She looks great most of the time. She is not in any pain and the only thing that affects her are the meds. We have developed her daily Rx schedule and it has been working for us so far. She gets dizzy throughout the day so she know she just needs to nap and sleep it off.

So you see, I have been worrying quite a bit these past few months. I cannot imagine starting school this july/august! I would not be comfortable. She feels bad b/c she feels she's holdin me back. I told her I would start next year no matter what. I just need to be here with her for a while and then I will do what I need to do with my life.

So I will continue to teach the demons of tomorrow until I begin med school. Every day is a struggle and I look forward to Friday throughout the week. I have blessed with an amazing supportive grandmother, great friends, and amazing co-workers.

I have a stable job and even though I hate it most of the time I am thankful I have money to pay my school loans and bills.

I wish I could learn to relax more, but I am anxious and stressed most of the time. I am glad school is almost over so I can spend more time with gma and so that I can be with her throughout the day.

So other than working I don't do much else. SLeep. COok. Bake every now and then....and just watch as much food network tv as i can! I love that show! I think I want to be a pastry chef.....lol

Figured it would work out if I do cereal chemistry......somehow related to BAKING. I can take that course JACK took in grad school......a graduate course in BAKING can't get any better than that.

I'm still trying to figure out what im going to do when i graduated. I should *ideally* take the gre before I leave for London, but I have yet to OPEN a gre book. I didnt do so HOT on the SAT and its basically something like that...ehh..

I must tho..so I can start applying when Im in London. At least I wiill have jack with me and he'll help me figure out my life..haha or at least be a guide!

So at work we work 8hrs + 2 mandatory over time hours..and one of ur days off you have to go in for 4 hours.

......so today was my 4hr day AND they sent me HOME because I work TOOO mucH!!!!! I was so upset because i only have about 2.5 checks left to go.....they said I had toooooooooo many overtime hours for this last pay period! haha......so what if i dont have a life.

and dont judge me! all my money will be divided by TWO and thats how much Ill have.

screw you POUND!!!!!!!

well im going to go check up on my key lime pie.....and then take a nap.....

being off isnt THAT bad......but it doesnt PAY!

Well I havent updated in a while... There isnt much going on right now. I finally found a full-time job. It's called ACT..Im in the fraud dept of BofA and I answer phone calls from angry customers. It's prettty crazzzy the types of things people do......Many have made a career out of FRAUD! How crazy is that! I have seen credit lines that are just....WOW.

ANyways, other that working I havent been up to a whole lot. I having my last training day tomorrow and then im off..working working working. If I could..and if there were enough hours to give out..I could ideally work 80 hrs a WEEK~!!! That would be great!!!!! Since I am working for my LONDON SPENDING MONEY!

SUpposedly at this place you work what you can and they are in great need of people volunteerin to stay longer..so hopefully it works out.

I had a hard time finding a job and now that I am about settled into this job, I got another offer. It will eventually pay MORE after the training period, but training for that job is 5 weeks. So I figured I would just stay with ACT..and start rolling in the dough~ oVERTIME here i COME~

other than work..I have started working out again! Time to get rid of all the CHUB that has accumulated over the years. lol.

So that is basically my summer..summed up into a few lines..WORK OUT.......WORK.......eat.....SLEEP. Rather dull I know, but you gottta do what you gotta do~

Yeah..exciting!

ASHLEY: COngrats on the car! I bet you wont miss paying for gas! haha

Wow I can't believe I havent written anything in months! To think I used to update every day...haha

It's all different now..this livejournal stuff.

anyway..A LOT has gone on these past few months, but I guess I should just talk about the present!

IM GOING TO NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah that's me..lil 'ol valley girl going to NYC for Freakin SPRING BREAK!!!!!! haha awesome. It's a trip with the school so its suuuuuuuuper cheap..we will be there for a WEEK and have *TWO FREE DAYs* to do whateverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. SUnday is our sight-seeing day and Monday is our shopppppppppppppppppppping day! I am excited............imagine all the pics we are going to take?!

and also........this past week I got my acceptance letter into the study abroad program.

LONDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEre I come if everything goes well. I'm going to work like crazy this summer!

so today was rather poopy. Very busy day at work..I had never worked retailed during the holidays...OMG!!!!!

Well today is the 18th and for those of you who know..yeah it Should be a happy day, but not so much this time.

It's kinda sucky when feelings cant get across.....and when ppl are on different pages.

I feel so alone. My gma is in mexico b/c my aunt passed away...and here I am...

I have my Wendy at least :) she's so cute..doesnt even begin to understand why i am upset..but she licks my tears away... aww my good pup.

well tonight is one of our last days here in the dorm so they are going to have a "party." I am really not in the mood for any of that.

I just want to be comforted!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think alcohol can really soothe my lil ache in the heart, but I guess it will have to do for tonight.

Hope everyone else's holiday break is going a bit better than mine did tonight.

so its been hellah hot..just last thursday it almost seemed like a minor cold front came in..but it wasn't COLD just COOL.......and yeah its gone

It rained for like 15 secs today and the humidity is killlllllllllllling me. We had to go to a new fruitplace since our spot is closed on tuesday. We got a really good deal. Two snow cones, aquas frescas, and a HUGE piece of watermelon for only 3.50 We kept thinking we might have ripped off the guy, but we didnt.

mmm nice cold treat..too bad we ate it there...OUTSIDE in the lil benches..never again we felt like passing out.

Im having a program tonight..making stress balls..seems appropriate..i just found out my girls have their first practical next week..so this should be helpful and YES its National Pizza Month..so we are having pizza.

LIL RAT is alive. Needless to say he survived his LXA retreat in one piece..for the most part..lol

been working on widgets and doodads. Crispy I always remember you with the whole WIDGET thing. It was part of our physics lab homework and WIDGET was a UNIT of measurement! HAHA!

Well i was doing some res. life stuff before going to bed.

We will be making some stress balls next week.....GRAB EM BY THE BALLS. Yeah i think everyone is feeling the stress i know i am.

I made it at 930 right after tutoring, but i just realized its a TUESDAY= NIP/TUCK. Maybe I can change the channel to FX, but then again I dont want to freak out the kids with all the crazy things they show..they are young they dont know those kinds of things..yeah right who am i kidding

Well I better shower and get to bed..even though im not tired.

I found the IDEAL nap time. 9pm-1130pm. I wake up energized and ready to GO!

So today was supposed to be spent with AT, but for one reason or another we didn't do anything. We slept all day yesterday so I guess that was our weekend activity.

ANyway so chunx and I went to bennigans..I had been craving it since yesterday, but I dont think i liked what i ate. montecristo..yeah now that I t hink about it i think it got me sick..pretty sure it did.

We then hit 4 thrift stores..those places are fun! I used to hate them freshmen year when chunx wanted to go, but it was fun. I got some cool jewerly! and some random shirts..CC..IWHS..NOTRE DAME and an HEB one..hahaha and I got an 89 cent Medical Genetics book. Yeah I am a lil embarassed about that one, but it was a good buy! It has almost everything my book has and it was $130!!!!!

The best shop was probably the one waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out there...peerin bitel? LOL I dont know how to spell it, but its waaay past the airport...

then we went to HEB to visit AT and we got a few things we needed

So lately I have been itching like crazy. AT also had lil bites but we thought they were mosquitos..but then ppl got into my head that I might have bed bugs...like wtf...yeah..I dont have any traces of ants....and these things only come out at night..i searched for them on the web to see what I can do and apparently its very hard to see them..and even harder to get rid of them.

well hell.

so im washing all my stuff right now and i went a bought a new bed set just for the hell of it. They mainly live in mattresses..and i was like.....well we have the plastic covering so its probably that...BUT i just realized today that i DONT have a plastic covering..................OKKKKKKKKK WHY?! Everyone else does......

well my new bed set is cute..PINK..the comforter is suede..when i saw it i thought it felt reallllllly nice and then i found the matching sheets so i HAD to...

plus i feel all depressed today.......i usually feel like this around my bday...probably old age? or maybe I am just homesick.........who knows........but yeah im sad :(

lol so i just checked my credit card balance and i noticed there was a $45 charge..i was like wtf?!

yeah it was my club membership for bare minerals..so i called and I was like..id like to cancel this...

yeah its cheaper at Sephora.....haha

and they cancelled it..............i asked if i were to send the package back.......if they would put that money back.......and she was like................just go ahead and keep it!

awesome! I got all this free stuff...like when they sent me the wrong color...marina and chunx both got their own for FREE..and now i get MINE for free.

its just the foundation and the mineral veil......i never even use the veil tho.

the containers are bigger at sephora...what the freak else they send..for it to have been 45!

they must have sent it to my old apt. complex..so they'll probably just FWD it here i suppose.

Classes started on tuesday...things have gone well. I mean the first day of class is cake. Genetics was interesting today, although kinda long, I actually enjoyed it.

Tuesday night I hung out with AT and Freddy and their friend Paul and his gf "Chuck" lol....things were going good..normal you know......and then I started feeling weird.................and yeah I fainted. Odd I know. Apparently I hit my head on the FLOOR, but I had no recollection of that..so AT insisted that they were going to take me to the ER. I felt good after a few mintues, but they gave me no other choice. I was there over 3 hours and I got this lame diagnosis. When i fainted senior year they told me the same thing. It could have been "numerous" things...but yeah.......i'm fine now. We only slept like 30 min yesterday since we had calII at 8! but it wasn't tooo toooo bad. Before Lab we took a quick nap..aww AT cares!

My gma is paranoid now and calls me like every 2 secs...or so it seems. She called me this morning...keep in mind that I dont have class until 11:10.........so i was still asleep at 10 when she called..she got all worried thinking i was sick and not going to class..asked if i needed her to come...but then she started talking crazy..thinking im pregnant..crazy! She said ...what else can i think..u fainted...and ur always with anthony..." LOL well..........NO! It was pretty weird...akward.......u know.

So im done for the day..been done since 12:25..pretty nice actually. Plan was to get my books and go to the library, BUT its too too hot to go back out there again..so im going to stay in here..plus I need to get some signatures from residents..so I need to wait here~!*

Sushi with chunx today...so I will get to see Lexia and Chuck (new friend) haha...

summer school is over.

I went home yesterday to pick up a few things..had the best meal ever.

Scarlet and Thalia weren't EXACTLY the best of friends, but they got along towards the end.

Drove home supper early...got back just in time to make it to the staff lunch we had. It was pizza from this lil place on hillcret/babcock..right by the def. driving school..Soborero's? something like that...they were huge slices...prob would have tasted better warm, but anyway.

HAd our first day of training..it wasn't too intense....went to Henry's puffy tacos and got our duty dates...I'm on duty tomorrow night..yay for the first duty night and its MINE..fun huh?

at least i wont be on duty the whole week of my bday! WOO HOO..can you say Drunk?

we also went to the comedy club tonight..it was fun and I was picked on twice..i felt like my face was TOMATOe red!

bastards.

They thought stmu kids pray all the time..and they figured we were there on a church camp....and asked if we were making key chains out of macaronni! haha

well i am tired..must be the trip.....and then today...i wanted AT to take me to the movies..the Skeleton key is showing at 1:25 at the drive-in, but I think I am going to call it a night.

scarlet is with him right now. I didn't want to keep her in the room, especially since we already have residents. There isn't anyone up here on the 3rd floor..just two girls, but still. Actually I think he b onded with her..she was on the couch with him all day just watching tv and sleeping. Fun times. Jerk told me he lost her when he left her in the patio..i literally freaked out, but he cracked...so i knew he was joking.

So I haven't updated in a while......I have just had summer school this week..so its pretty nice...take a "nap" and wake up in the afternoon. I guess you could say it's a waste of time, BUT hey i've had crap to do all summer.....so this is MY whole week of summer/but not. My last chem exam is tomorrow PLUS the final. I swear our spring sem. final was that ACS version, but this one is an actualy final...so I GUESS. I slacked off.....damnnit..lol oh well.

well i went to heb with fetus to grab some chinese.......he's a funny one..i went and stalked ant-ny, but his line was busy and he was HAPPILY scanning away, so i didn't want to interrupt...i wonder if he would cared that I was with fetus....probably not..what a freak!

So I took NAdeem to wally world lastnight. I finally got my venus razors! haha i saw the "vibrating" one..weird.................the first ever battery operated razor for a woman! nice?

so after my finaly tomorrow..I'm going to go pick up SKANK and we will be off to the great 'ol RGV. For our whole ONE DAY stay..lol

I should be getting scarlet later on tonight...scarlet is my BIG's dog for those of you who don't know. I will be babysitting and apparently one of the girls is going to be baby sitting Chen's turtle. It's like the DZ Babysitters Club. LoL

I saw Dukes of hazzard a few nights ago..i liked it. Jessica Simpson didn't have a big as a role as they made it seem, but whatever she's HOT. She ALMOST made me want to go anorexic, but I quicky snapped back into reality.

I am excited to go home..just think...............take two exams and then im OUT biatch!

ahh the lazyness............................................im a bum.

on a lighter note..my room is almost done.....yes yes i know..after a WEEK and a HALF of being here. Some of the stuff that piling up is actually going home so it should look better after tomorrow.

so it's 1 am and here i am..still procrastinating from studying for chem. I woke up at like..4PM today! It was awesome..i attempted to study, but i ended up showering and then AT came over...he just bummed around and helped IVY move in while i went to mass. I came back and they were at it so i went to get some grub...mill billers...i like that place.

so after they moved her in I just continued to eat and then AT came and we watched "desperate housewives" and "grey's Anatomy." I had never seen either show..well only part of Greys..it was pretty good.

AT left b/c i had to study!

but here I am.............i swear I think i have ADD!!!!! Or im just in SUMMER MODE...........or a mixture of the two.

So this past weekend we went to San marcos and shopped it up. I spent A LOT, but it was FUN! It was AT's worst time of his life AND it was the BESt time of mine. Ironic? lol

So I get to go home for a whole DAY this weekend and I also get to baby-sit Scarlet (my Big's Dog!) So she will get to take a road trip with us...and Ill have to break the dorm rules by having her here..unless i convince AT to keep her at his apt. when I am at training.................................mmmmmmmmmmm what to bribe him with........

Going back to this past weekend..the skanks stayed over..apparently they weren't sleep and decided to go to wal-mart at like 1 or 2 AM..INSANE..i was soooooooooooooo tired....

and the biatches took a "kinkky" pic of me and AT sleeping...or were we?

So this is my last week of class......and then training starts saturday...and ADIOS SUMMER.

There are two girls that I've seen..living in marian now...boo.........i kinda liked being here alone.....and not having to care about anything, but oh well it's all part of the job. They are probably volleyball/soccer girls.

School is about to start. YAY FOR DZ..NAY for school! haha

I hung out with a few of the girls yesterday...good times...and i am OVEr being under age. less than a month ladies and gentlemen! haha.

my research internship is over..well until school starts...and we still have to work on that paper that's due on the 19th.

other than that............ive just been bummmmmmmmmin it..i haven't even unpacked..but now that AT is going to be working..I wont have anyone to bum out with..so i will be forced to unpack!

hehe.

well I should hit the books again.............
